Reduced Investment Management Fees for CEDA’s Group Retirement Plan
As part of CEDA’s ongoing commitment to delivering value in our benefits programs, we recently completed a review of our Group Retirement Plan.
We are pleased to announce that, effective June 17, 2026, the Investment Management Fees (IMFs) associated with the investments available within the plan will be reduced, helping enhance members’ overall investment returns.
Lower Fees = Better Returns
An IMF is the amount Manulife charges to cover the costs of managing the fund. It is a fee deducted each year from a fund’s investment returns and covers the cost of hiring fund managers, as well as the expenses associated with overseeing, administering and operating the fund.
Reducing fees is one of the most effective and tangible ways to enhance investment returns. Lower fees allow more of your investment to remain in your account, helping your savings grow over time.
